Smart English is our approach to primary English tuition, designed to enhance language and literacy growth by enabling children to identify its place in their world.
What we cover.
By covering the same content as school, we ensure continuity between classroom and home-based learning, providing an in-depth experience across the English curriculum.
Key Stage One

- Grammar: Understanding sentence structure, verb tenses, and parts of speech
- Spelling: Improving spelling accuracy and using spelling rules effectively
- Writing Skills: Developing coherent paragraphs, varied sentence structures, and descriptive language
- Editing and Proofreading: Checking and correcting errors in writing for clarity and accuracy
How we do it.
We build learning around the lives and interests of the individual, enabling them to see how language and literacy fits into their world and why it matters.
Progressing at their pace, we explore the components of English in an interactive and engaging way, developing confidence through targeted learning.
With our guidance, your role is to provide further context to English through real-world application, supporting new learning as part of day-to-day life.

Each 50 minute session is conducted over Zoom using a variety of exciting resources to encourage interaction, engage learners, and promote active participation.

Our team is made up of experienced school leaders, subject specialists, and enthusiastic new teachers, all of whom are experts in our unique approach to teaching and learning.

At the end of each session, we’ll provide written feedback as well as guidance on how you can support your child’s new learning as a part of daily life.

Individual sessions from £60 offer a flexible, short-term solution to learning support, addressing immediate issues and preparing for upcoming topics.
Block bookings (4 sessions per month) from £230, allow for in-depth exploration and consistent support alongside school-based learning.
