Smart Maths.

What it is.

Smart Maths is our spin on primary support, designed to break down barriers to learning by helping children recognise the role that maths plays in their world.

What we cover.

By aligning with school content, we allow for further exploration of key concepts, boosting confidence in fluency, reasoning, and problem-solving across the maths curriculum.

  • The confidence and ability to quickly and accurately perform mathematical operations.

  • Thinking logically and critically about new concepts and being able to explain their mathematical choices and actions.

  • Applying fluency (quick and accurate calculations) and reasoning (logical thinking and understanding) skills to effectively solve mathematical problems.

How we do it.

Sessions are built around the lives of our learners, meaning that what they learn with us, is relevant to them.

Moving at their pace, we empower children to actively engage in learning; making meaningful connections with new concepts, recognising their value beyond workbooks.

With our guidance, your role is to provide opportunities for real-world application, giving context to new mathematical concepts, bridging the gap between learning and life.

So simple, so effective.

  • Each 50 minute session is conducted over Zoom using a variety of exciting resources to encourage interaction, engage learners, and promote active participation.

  • Our team is made up of experienced school leaders, subject specialists, and enthusiastic new teachers, all of whom are experts in our unique approach to teaching and learning.

  • At the end of each session, we’ll provide written feedback as well as ongoing guidance on how you can support your child’s new learning as a part of daily life.

  • Individual sessions from £60 offer a flexible, short-term solution to learning support, addressing immediate issues and preparing for upcoming topics.

Block bookings (4 sessions per month) from £230, allow for in-depth exploration and consistent support alongside school-based learning.

    Project prices available on request.

Why it works.

Presenting maths in the world outside of school provides a meaningful and authentic perspective, igniting curiosity and motivation levels in children. This allows for a deeper understanding of concepts from an early age and a desire to find out more…

“The moment they no longer see Maths as work, is the moment the barriers begin to fall.”

S Brooks, Founder.
